Mr Peoples was born exactly at the stroke of midnight. The midwife faced a conundrum when she was filling out his birth certificate. She had been focused on the delivery and didn't know if Mr Peoples was born a little before or after midnight, "Such an untimely birth," she thought. So, she asked his mom to choose either 11:59 pm on the 31st or 12:01 am on the 1st. Being somewhat superstitious, Mom considered carefully. She chose 11:59 on the 31st. She thought this would make him a little older, a newborn throwback. She thought about celestial positions and numerology but really didn't know anything about these matters. Ultimately, she just went with her gut feeling, as most of us should.
The reality is that Mr Peoples was born on the 1st. You might say, who cares? Mr Peoples doesn't care; nevertheless, as we all know, a minute or two can make a world of difference. He never took a breath on the 31st, yet that is his birthday and month; if it was 12/31, then it is a different year. Maybe the end of a decade or century. When you think about a minute or two, you can think about twice the difference and double that.
Mr Peoples was born a throwback in the modern world. He has seen, heard, and experienced things and knows their cost. He wanders on his course with wonder. He believes that there is sometimes no difference between fair and foul, night and day, yesterday, now, or tomorrow. Mr Peoples detests a snicker and gossip. Delights in a child's laughter. He likes words that have two or more meanings. Revels in irony and humor. Mr Peoples is an everyman with a difference, just as we are all the same but unique in our own way. There is that pesky inconsequentialism that he chooses to ignore, something greater than us that he recognizes. He believes that changes, big and small, begin with personal action. Words, words, words are, well, just too wordy. Versed together with music, they can be immensely more meaningful.
Mr Peoples doesn't care about a lot of things, but the things he cares about, he cares a lot.
He hopes you enjoy and experience delight, sadness, and bittersweetness.
Mr Peoples is not so much of an alter ego but a symbiotic ego. Mr Peoples is compassionate, tolerant, fearless, an iconoclastic throwback Everyman living in the present.

At heart, Mr Peoples is a musical storyteller. Most songs are about everyday folks. They are compelling stories often centering on people in predicaments, navigating challenges, and seeking hope and redemption. The songs often use musical instruments that do not normally accompany each other. The lyrics are characterized by poignant, witty, and occasionally melancholic phrases.
Talented musicians from all over the world perform the songs. Raye Williams, a gifted vocalist, songwriter, and entertainer, sings many of them. Christopher Sciotti wrote all of the Mr. Peoples Project songs.
